Synopsis
Ethan Wate, a young man living in the small town of Gatlin, South Carolina, is haunted by strange recurring dreams. He prefers his dreams to his waking life, which is filled with monotony and unhappiness. However, everything changes when Lena Duchannes, a mysterious and beautiful new girl, arrives in town. Ethan is immediately drawn to Lena, and they soon begin a romantic relationship.
As they spend more time together, Ethan learns that Lena is a Caster, a powerful witch. He also learns that she is in danger from her own kind, who fear her powers. Ethan vows to protect Lena, and they soon find themselves fighting for their love against all odds.
