John Mitchell Barnett, an American whistleblower known for his substantiated safety and quality reports to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), was found dead on March 9, 2024. According to his mother, Barnett's death is the result of retaliation from Boeing, the plane manufacturer he had accused of illegal practices.
Barnett, a former Boeing quality manager, had raised concerns about the safety of the company's 787 Dreamliner.
