Carjacking Near Kentridge High School Puts School on Lockdown
Kent Police Investigate Carjacking
Kent, WA - A carjacking near Kentridge High School prompted a lockdown of the school on Tuesday morning.
According to Kent Police, the carjacking occurred at around 7:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the school.
The victim, a 17-year-old female student, was sitting in her car when she was approached by two suspects. The suspects demanded her car keys and threatened her with a gun.
The victim complied, and the suspects fled in her car.
Kentridge High School Lockdown
Kent Police responded to the scene and immediately initiated a search for the suspects. The school was placed on lockdown as a precaution.
The lockdown was lifted about an hour later after police determined that there was no threat to the school.
Investigation Ongoing
Kent Police are continuing to investigate the carjacking. They are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
No arrests have been made at this time.
