New Delhi, India - March 3, 2023 - The National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog), India's apex public policy think tank, will launch a new initiative called 'NITI for States' tomorrow. The initiative will be launched by Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister of Communications, Railways, and Electronics & Information Technology.
NITI Aayog, established in 2015, serves as a platform for cooperative federalism and intergovernmental coordination. The new 'NITI for States' initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between the central government and state governments by providing a dedicated platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and evidence-based policymaking at the state level.
The initiative will focus on fostering a shared vision of national development priorities, sectors, and strategies with the active involvement of states. It will provide a platform for states to showcase their best practices, share experiences, and learn from each other.
